Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Couple Wars mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of someone else, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.

2. Description of the App

Couple Wars is a gamified productivity application designed for couples. It allows paired users to create goals, track points, and exchange rewards. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Accounts & Pairing

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Your account may only be paired with one partner at a time.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must not share your account with anyone other than your intended partner.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

• Submit content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, or otherwise harmful
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the App

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the content you create within the App (goals, rewards, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality to you and your paired partner.

We are not responsible for any content created by users. You are solely responsible for the goals and rewards you create and any agreements you make with your partner through the App.

6. Rewards & Agreements Between Partners

Any rewards, favours, or obligations agreed upon through the App are entirely between you and your partner. We are not a party to those agreements, do not enforce them, and accept no liability arising from them. The App is a fun tool — please use your own judgment.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within the App — including the "Indie Pixel Game" and "Cozy Journal" themes, UI components, and artwork — are the property of Couple Wars and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or error-free operation. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to relationship outcomes, lost data, or disagreements between partners. (We really do hope the app brings you closer together, though. 💕)

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
